Job Summary
Human Resources Assistant needed to support recruitment, onboarding, and administrative tasks for a part-time, limited-term role in the San Francisco office. Responsibilities include posting job ads, screening applications, coordinating interviews, guiding hiring managers through recruitment, conducting phone screens, leading background and reference checks, coordinating onboarding tasks (I-9 processing, new hire paperwork, welcome kits), maintaining employee records, handling mandatory trainings, and assisting with office operations (Asana boards, communications, supplies). Requires 1–2 years of administrative experience, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Slack/SharePoint, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. The role offers hybrid work with an expected schedule of 4 days/week, 4–5 hours per day, and pay of $31/hour. This position is limited-term with an anticipated end date of February 25, 2027; salary is $31/hour for an average of 18 hours per week. We offer paid sick leave accrual and a Transit/Parking FSA. Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or office setting
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and collaboration tools such as Slack
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- HR experience or coursework preferred, but not required
