Job Summary

Lead full-cycle recruitment activities across the organization, including workforce planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management. Partner with business leaders to develop proactive talent acquisition strategies, build pipelines for critical positions, and coach hiring leaders on recruitment best practices and interviewing techniques. Manage the Applicant Tracking System, optimize recruitment processes, and conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking to support workforce planning and compensation decisions. Provide expert guidance on HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, employment legislation, and human rights to leaders across unionized and non-unionized locations. Support employee relations matters, oversee onboarding programs, and analyze HR metrics to recommend improvements for talent retention and organizational performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 6–9 years of progressive HR experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention practices and HR advisory services
  • Experience utilizing HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Experience in job benchmarking, job profile development, competency-based recruitment, talent assessment, and the use of recruitment analytics to support effective workforce planning and hiring decisions
  • Proven success using a variety of recruitment methods, including direct sourcing, social recruiting, and traditional recruitment channels
  • Expertise in recruitment strategies, sourcing, and onboarding best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including advanced document and spreadsheet development

Desired Qualifications
