Job Summary
Provide HR advice and support to supervisors, superintendents, and department leaders across the site. Manage employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, absenteeism, grievances, and investigations. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee movements, and workforce planning while preparing employment documentation and HR reports. Maintain accurate records and promote a positive workplace culture. This hands-on advisory role supports leaders and employees within a close-knit, site-based team at an established open-cut coal operation in Queensland.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Coordinator, HR Advisor or similar role
- sound understanding of HR processes, employment documentation and employee lifecycle activities
- experience supporting employee relations or performance management matters
- strong communication and relationship-building skills
- the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational environment
- high attention to detail and strong record-keeping capability
- confidence working with leaders and employees at all levels
- discretion, professionalism and sound judgement when handling confidential matters
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, construction, logistics or another operational environment
