Job Summary

Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Human Resources department, including front-line customer service to employees and applicants, preparing and distributing HR correspondence and documents, maintaining confidential personnel records, entering and updating information in HR systems, coordinating meetings and calendars, supporting onboarding and employment processing, answering routine HR questions, assisting with purchasing and department needs, and helping with process improvements. The role includes HR operations duties such as supporting recruitment, verification of employment, board reporting, wellness initiatives, and HR budget tracking, as well as HR data and records responsibilities such as maintaining official personnel files, document scanning and retention, data audits, system entries, and reporting. Strong confidentiality, data accuracy, and ability to work independently are required, with proficiency in district HR procedures and relevant software (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace). This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position located in Plymouth, MN with SEIU Local 284 salary schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of administrative support experience in an office environment
  • Experience in human resources, business services, records management, education administration, or related office operations preferred
  • College or vocational education in business office skills may substitute for general experience
  • Knowledge of HR office practices, procedures, and confidentiality standards
  • Data entry, reporting systems, and database management
  • Payroll/leave systems and general business office procedures
  • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace proficiency
  • Organization, prioritization, multitasking
  • Accurate data entry and proofreading
  • Customer service and professional communication
  • Calendar coordination, meeting logistics, and document preparation
  • Onboarding, employment processing, and employee transactions
  • HR data audits and records management
  • HR reports and spreadsheets
