Job Summary
Human Resources Manager responsible for overseeing HR operations in a manufacturing environment, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration (health, workers’ compensation, expense reimbursement, vacations), compensation, performance management, training, succession planning, offboarding, and conflict resolution. Role emphasizes developing and refining HR systems, ensuring compliance with CA and federal labor laws, and partnering with departments to implement strategic HR plans; requires strong stakeholder relations, Spanish-language communication, and capability to coach and lead teams in a dynamic workforce.
Required Qualifications
- Food Manufacturing experience is highly preferred
- Manufacturing experience is required
- 3+ years in Human Resources (or very similar role)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Strong understanding of federal and state laws applicable to Human Resources
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate in Spanish
- Good interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset
- Ability to identify skill gaps and identify training needs
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Identify talent and create career and succession plans
