Job Summary
HR Generalist responsible for employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance with state and federal employment laws, and administration of leaves of absence and workplace accommodations. Provides oversight and guidance to recruitment and onboarding, ensuring hiring and orientation align with organizational policies. Requires strong critical thinking, investigative ability, interpersonal skills, HRIS data integrity, and understanding of retail, warehouse, or production environments.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, HR compliance, or related functions
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, particularly leave administration and workplace accommodations
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems
- Understanding of HRIS workflows, data structure, and system processes
- Valid California Driver’s License and ability to travel between work locations as needed
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
