Human Resource Generalist

Job Summary
Deliver full-cycle recruitment across all functions within a manufacturing environment, including planning and administering the summer student work program. Coordinate with academic institutions to maintain the intern program and manage onboarding activities such as enrollments, orientation, and training. Administer the leave of absence program and advise leadership on employee/labor relations, performance management, and talent development. Plan, develop, and implement HR policies while managing HRIS data for monthly reporting on headcounts, leaves, and terminations. Assist the Health, Safety, & Environmental leader on safety and sustainability initiatives and facilitate investigations. Lead the employee engagement committee with oversight of monthly activities and annual events. This role reports to the Human Resource Director in Litchfield, Illinois, within Dometic's Marine organization.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary role in Human Resources within union environment
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or another related discipline or equivalent experience within HR field
- Intermediate MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- SHRM-CP designation
- Sophisticated business acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks
- Ability to work well independently and as an essential part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience preferred
- HRIS systems experience preferred experience in UKG/Kronos
