Human Resource Generalist

Job Summary

Ensure EPSPC and PPS operations comply with ACA, PBNDS, and local ICE policy while maintaining a Federal Public Trust Clearance. Advise employees and managers on benefits, recruitment, and organizational policy; interpret policies and guide new hires through training. Assist in recruitment, screening, reference checks, and compensation calculations for new hires. Maintain HRIS systems, compile data, and prepare recurring reports on retention and departmental metrics. Create and update policies, audit HR processes, and manage affirmative action programs including EEO-1 and VETS100 filings. Administer drug programs, coordinate pre-employment testing, and reconcile billing. Partner with leaders on HR projects and improve cross-departmental processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions in several functional areas
  • Must demonstrate knowledge with federal and state employment laws, processes, and procedures and have a desire to deepen both knowledge and experience including but not limited to federal contracting and OFCCP
  • Applicant must obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance T-1 or T-2
  • Must be able to pass and maintain all physical requirements for the position
  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree or Better in applicable fields
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be able to obtain access to military installations
  • Must obtain and keep a government background clearance
  • Being available for phone calls and emails after working hours
  • Occasional travel outside of the EPCSPC facility to conduct inspections

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
  • Prior experience with HRIS data management, preferably Deltek CostPoint
  • Prior experience dealing with or working in a union environment
  • Prior experience working with an Alaska Native Corporation or ample knowledge of Alaska Native culture
