Job Summary

Conduct compliance reviews of IRB minutes and protocol submissions to monitor adherence to Federal, Department of War, Navy, and FDA regulations. Perform site assessments and assist visits with Navy commands, including interviews, file reviews, and objective evaluation of findings into final reports. Serve as a subject matter expert providing regulatory guidance, training, and oversight to commands, IRB members, and Human Research Protections Officials. Assist in developing protection standards, policies, and systems while analyzing trends to identify process improvements and training needs. Prepare high-quality data visualizations using Excel, analytics software, and AI resources. Requires domestic and international travel up to four times annually with a passport.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical or socio-behavioral field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in human research protections and compliance oversight
  • Experience supporting an IRB
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven technical writing abilities
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau) including AI utilities
  • Travel: Domestic and International up to 4 times per year
  • Passport

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters
  • Human research protections or regulatory compliance certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
