Job Summary
Human Factors Engineer responsible for leading and supporting Human Factors and Industrial Design activities for new medical device development programs. Translate user needs into clear interaction, usability, and experience design recommendations; provide SME input on human factors throughout the product lifecycle; collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams; ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA/MDSAP requirements; contribute to project teams with design recommendations aligned to strategy and business priorities. Base compensation range is $75,250.00–$112,750.00 USD annually with bonus and benefits; includes 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical/dental/vision, flexible time off, parental leave, and other wellness offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Science, or a related technical field (BA/BS/BEng)
- Experience or strong foundational knowledge in Human Factors Engineering, Usability, Interaction Design, or Industrial Design, preferably within regulated industries
- Familiarity with medical device development processes and working within a regulated environment
- Ability to work on low to moderate complexity problems with guidance from senior team members
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional teams
- A detail-oriented mindset with commitment to quality, safety, and user-centered design
