Job Summary
Human Factors Engineer based in El Segundo, CA, supporting Skyryse’s cockpit and vehicle packaging work. Responsibilities include developing vehicle occupant packages for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, performing human-factors testing and analysis from cockpit layout to UI/UX, generating and releasing test plans and reports for FAA certification, building seating bucks and simulators, creating and modifying CAD drawings and tooling for manufacturing, and collaborating cross-functionally with design, engineering, and marketing. Requires hands-on experience with Solidworks/CATIA and RAMSIS digital human models, plus knowledge of FAA Part 25/27 regulations; candidates should be capable of cross-functional communication and applying analytical, creative, and strategic thinking to aviation technology. Salary range listed as $100,000–$180,000 with full-time employment and standard benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Human Factors Engineer and/or Psychology
- 5+ years of experience with vehicle engineering with human factors, vehicle packaging and/or mechanical engineering
- Proven ability to use Solidworks and/or CATIA with RAMSIS/digital human models
- Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple parallel-path projects
