Job Summary
Lead daily Patch Department operations by coordinating fiberglass repairs, training team members, and assigning work to meet production schedules. Perform hands-on grinding, sanding, filling, painting, and buffing while inspecting repairs for defects before production stages. Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed, communicate quality and safety concerns to supervisors, and maintain a clean, organized work area with proper PPE. Resolve recurring defects with Quality and Production teams to support continuous improvement. Requires high school diploma, prior fiberglass or auto body experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Auto Body Repair or a related field
- Previous fiberglass repair experience
- Previous marine manufacturing experience
- Previous auto body experience
- Previous composite repair experience
- Previous leadership or team lead experience
- Knowledge of fiberglass repair techniques, including grinding, sanding, filling, painting, and buffing
- Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely use patching tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment
