Job Summary
Manage all financial responsibilities relating to HUD Grants Administration, including reviewing grants, analyzing expenses, and preparing reports detailing cash flows and drawdowns. Collaborate with auditors and departments to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and local, state, and federal policies while managing teams throughout the audit process. Analyze current processes to identify improvements and implement changes, completing special projects as needed. This full-time, direct hire role requires a resident of Buffalo or someone moving to the city within six months, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must live in the City of Buffalo or move to the city within 6 months of start date
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
- 3+ years' experience in Public Financial Management, specifically HUD grant management
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
- 100% in-office
- Relocation not available
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Experience with MUNIS, HANSEN, or similar software is preferable
