Responsibilities include counseling pre- and post-purchase, maintaining client records in Salesforce, delivering education series in-person or virtually, travel to events as needed, and completing HUD-related trainings and certifications within 18 months (including NTIs). The role operates in a hybrid model with some in-office requirements and may require evening/weekend hours, serving residents in the Southwestern PA area. The organization emphasizes credentialed HUD/NeighborWorks/PHFA affiliation and trauma-informed, customer-focused service.
Required Qualifications
- HUD Housing Counselor certification in good standing with HUD continuing education requirements
- HUD Housing Counselor certification training within 18 months including NTIs
- Experience in housing, financial, or foreclosure counseling (preferred) or related customer-facing work
- Reliable transportation to travel to events and office
- Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation
- Ability to maintain records in Salesforce
- Ability to present education series in-person or virtually
