Job Summary
Support patients with activities of daily living and perform patient care skills as delegated by licensed nurses within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Collaborate with unit leadership to coordinate day-to-day patient care unit activities, including processing patient records and communicating with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. Serve as a resource for physicians and the health care team regarding the electronic medical record while maintaining knowledge and skill of delegated tasks. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Requires successful completion of KH Health Coordinator and Nursing Assistant Orientation training, plus CPR/BLS certification. Applicants must have six months of nursing assistant experience in a hospital or long-term care facility, or be a nursing student. Full-time or part-time roles available across Kettering Health's 14 medical centers in southwest Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
- Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role
- Certification in CPR/BLS
- Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
- Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
- Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
- Current employee with Kettering Health
