Job Summary
Coordinate patient activities of daily living and perform delegated patient care skills within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Collaborate with unit leadership to process patient records and communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. Serve as a resource for the healthcare team regarding the electronic medical record while maintaining knowledge of delegated tasks. Support department operational needs and perform other duties as assigned. Requires completion of KH Health Coordinator and Nursing Assistant Orientation training, CPR/BLS certification, and six months of nursing assistant experience or equivalent course completion. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
- Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role
- Certification in CPR/BLS
- Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
- Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
- Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
- Current employee with Kettering Health
