Job Summary
Provide training and assistance to individuals with diverse support needs in areas such as daily living skills, personal hygiene, vocational skills, and community participation. Work cooperatively with various stakeholders and maintain documentation of incidents. Responsibilities include supporting individuals in achieving self-determination, integrating into the community, and ensuring safety and well-being. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and complete First Aid/CPR training. The position requires physical capability to lift and assist individuals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Minimum age 18
- Working home phone or cell phone
- Valid OK drivers license
- Current automotive insurance
- Dependable transportation
- Availability to operate vehicle during day/night
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Expected to learn and follow the Individual Plan (IP) of each client
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR Training
- Ability to lift 50-70 pounds with accommodation
- Ability to push/pull 50 pounds
- Good communication skills
- Mental and physical capability to perform job duties
Additional Requirements
- Criminal arrest checks will be conducted; individuals with a felony conviction will not work for HOH without issuance of exception by Oklahoma Department of Human Services
- Pre-employment, random, post accident and reasonable cause drug screens required
