Job Summary
Site Engineer role within Nuffield Health’s HSSU team responsible for maintaining building engineering systems and decontamination equipment. Duties include fault-finding and maintaining washer disinfectors, sterilisers, endoscope washers, and ultrasonic units; conducting weekly/quarterly/annual testing; coordinating with the Engineering Team Leader to maintain the testing schedule; liaising with operational staff to minimize disruption; participating in the 1-in-2 on-call rota (on-call at 10% of hourly rate, callouts paid time and a half); ordering parts and reconciling deliveries; preparing and submitting maintenance/testing reports; attending local Quality and Health & Safety meetings; and ensuring HTM testing compliance. The role requires qualification in engineering (City & Guilds/NVQ/ONC or equivalent), driving licence, and good communication/IT skills.
Required Qualifications
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- A background in plumbing, electrical, mechanical or building services engineering would be highly relevant
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well across teams
- Basic IT skills including email and Microsoft Office
