Job Summary
Lead a large team of HSSE resources to support site objectives and internal customers while driving strategic planning to achieve all KPIs and serious incident prevention targets. Act as a coach and advisor to site leadership, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and executing management systems through inspections, audits, and corrective action analysis. Manage the incident reporting and investigation program, monitor trends regarding incidents and audits, and contribute to the development of Group and Business Unit HSSE programs covering ergonomics, lockout, and hazardous waste. Organize activities to promote employee awareness, increase participation in safe behaviors, and manage worker's compensation programs. Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science with seven years of HSSE experience, including one year managing team members and proficiency in ISO 14.001 and ISO 45.001. Full-time role in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Health Science, or a related field
- 7 years of experience working in the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) field
- 7 years of experience in Coaching or mentoring HSSE team members and site leadership
- 7 years of experience Operating in and supporting matrixed leadership and functional teams
- 7 years of experience Working with environmental regulations, including air, wastewater, storm water, remediation, and hazardous waste
- 7 years of experience Using Microsoft Excel and Power Point to perform data analysis on environmental data and normalize KPIs
- 7 years of experience Using ISO 14.001 and ISO 45.001 management systems
- 1 year of experience managing team members
