Job Summary
HSSE Executive: implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies; conduct inspections and safety audits; ensure OSHA compliance; perform risk assessments and hazard identification; develop and deliver safety training; investigate incidents; manage environmental aspects; track HSE performance metrics; oversee contractor safety and PPE management; maintain records and reports; coordinate emergency response and site visits; travel to multiple work sites as required. This role requires collaboration across operations, risk management, and safety teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2-4 years of HSE experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar environment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
- Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct effective training sessions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license
- Preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP or equivalent
- Experience with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 management systems
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Incident investigation training (ICAM, TapRooT, or similar)
- Experience in industry sector relevant to organization
- Familiarity with HSE management software and reporting tools
- Technical competencies: risk assessment, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, safety auditing, training development, environmental impact assessment, emergency response planning, PPE management
- Personal attributes: detail-oriented, proactive, strong communication, independent and team-oriented
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites
- Office and field-based role with site visits
- Occasional extended hours during incident investigations or emergencies
- Exposure to industrial or construction environments
