Job Summary
Monitor accident and incident statistics, conduct regular site and remote inspections, and manage verification audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality standards. Lead accident investigations, track root cause analysis, and drive improvements by proactively addressing identified risks. Complete weekly and monthly compliance reports, support training and competency requirements, and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams. Assist with accreditations including ISO45001 and ISO9001, while ensuring safe systems of work are followed across the contract.
Required Qualifications
- Health & Safety Qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent L6 qualification)
- Lead Investigator certification
- Lead Auditor qualification (e.g., ISO 9001)
- IEMA Certificate (or equivalent environmental qualification)
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, regulatory frameworks, client technical standards, and the application of internal Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Experience conducting subcontractor due diligence and compliance assessments
- Proven track record in developing and implementing HSEQ management systems
- Experience managing incident investigations through to root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Experience leading an internal audit and maintaining external accreditations
- Experience within construction or other high risk environments
- Full UK Driving License
Desired Qualifications
- Utilities experience would be highly desirable
