Job Summary
Oversee health, safety, environmental, and quality programs for Vermont Operations by monitoring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Conduct planned inspections, coordinate audits, and lead corrective action plans for accidents, injuries, and quality non-conformances. Ensure proper maintenance of HSEQ systems, equipment, and testing while assisting in policy development for contractors and company personnel. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies, schedule training programs, and maintain records including product specifications. Make presentations to managers, employees, and community groups to address concerns and promote safe work practices. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, navigate uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds. Manage the Worker's Compensation Program and review capital projects for potential risks.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Health and Safety within a Mining or Manufacturing organization
- Environmental experience and/or training
- Experience in a quality role
- Bachelor's degree related to environmental, safety or quality fields preferred
