Job Summary
The HSE Specialist at Primoris Heavy Civil will assist the Division Safety Manager in advancing a comprehensive safety program while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include monitoring field performance, participating in safety training, and managing safety documentation. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, possess strong reporting skills, and maintain a commitment to safety standards. This role emphasizes team collaboration and effective communication with crews and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil, road, bridge, or highway construction
- Completion of required pre-employment testing and new hire orientation quizzes
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation
- Must not pose a direct safety threat to self or others
- Meet all client safety requirements including PPE and grooming standards
- Able to properly wear safety equipment such as respirator, fall protection, and hearing protection
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Strong computer skills with the ability to prepare investigations and reports
