Job Summary
Conduct facility and field inspections, audit safety documentation, and lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with the HSE Manager to review, revise, and implement policies, procedures, and practices aligned with company objectives and legislation. Provide HSE coaching, mentoring, and training to site personnel and leadership while facilitating safety committee meetings and maintaining recorded minutes. This role operates on a night shift schedule at the Calgary manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (diploma or certificate) or combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' experience in a HSE role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality & a high level of professionalism
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Comfortable in leading meetings and formally presenting recommendations
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift and/or overhead crane training or experience is considered an asset.
- Prior Manufacturing experience in a similar environment preferred.
