HSE Specialist (Nights)

Job Summary
HSE Specialist responsible for executing site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities as part of the Health and Wellness Division HSE program. Implements and maintains an audit-ready compliance state, manages environmental programs (air, storm water, water, spill control, wastewater), hazardous waste management, and site HSE plans. Delivers training to establish understanding of HSE expectations; participates in incident investigations to identify root causes; provides technical coaching; supports Industrial Hygiene monitoring (ergonomics, dust, noise, chemical exposure); manages Workers’ Compensation and Incident Management processes; conducts safety audits and drives behavior toward Safety ambitions; supports site security and risk management; requires ability to flex work hours including night/weekend; backup coverage for HSE Manager. Requires strong communication, organization, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in science preferred; 3-5 years in safety/environmental roles; GMP knowledge a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in science (e.g. engineering, safety, IH, etc.) is preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience supporting safety and environmental programs or projects in a manufacturing environment or school related program
- Experience with hazard recognition, behavioral-based safety, job hazard analysis is desired
- Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP a plus
