Job Summary
Oversee and ensure health, safety, and environmental practices within the manufacturing facility by developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards, lead accident investigations, and enforce policies that promote a safe working environment. Monitor safety performance metrics, collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues, and lead training initiatives to foster a culture of safety. Ensure facility compliance with environmental laws, prepare regulatory reports, and develop emergency response plans while conducting drills and maintaining response equipment. Work Monday through Friday with a shift differential available for second shift.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management within manufacturing, oil & gas, or construction
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- All qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) certifications) preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards
- Experience with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in training and engaging employees
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify risks, and develop practical solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
