HSE Specialist - Metals

Job Summary
Lead onsite HSE operations by implementing programs, conducting plant safety walks, and driving closure of corrective actions across metal forming and heat treatment facilities. Manage incident investigations using root-cause methodologies, maintain OSHA 300 logs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to develop Job Hazard Analyses, approve equipment for HSE considerations, and manage contractor safety programs. Design and deliver safety training, conduct internal and external audits, and lead emergency drills and behavior-based observations. Support environmental programs and participate in cross-functional projects to harmonize safety processes across plants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment emphasizing health, safety, and training
- Strong knowledge of U.S. OSHA, EPA or state ENV regulations
- Must be able to work in the office for collaborative purposes
- Frequent Travel by auto or foot to local sites
- Up to 10% annual travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in stamping/coating manufacturing and maintenance operations
- Experience supporting multi-site HSE programs
- Experience with environmental compliance programs
- Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 or similar HSE management systems
