Job Summary
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and recommend updates to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. Perform routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and behavioral safety observations, preparing written reports and tracking corrective actions to completion. Conduct new hire and contractor safety orientations while developing and delivering training programs on HazCom, Fall Protection, LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, and CPR/First Aid. Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and program improvement initiatives based on audit findings and incident trends. Monitor employee and contractor compliance with safety procedures and support workers' compensation coordination. This role supports strategic safety initiatives in a manufacturing/industrial setting with frequent interaction with employees, supervisors, contractors, and regulatory representatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or working toward certification preferred
- 3–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and Ohio safety requirements
- Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and incident investigations
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- The role is situated in Hebron, OH and is not a remote or hybrid position
