Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive EHS assessments, coordinate subcontractor protocols, and manage risk to minimize injuries or property damages. Perform accident investigations, complete incident reporting, and administer the Drug-Free Workplace Policy including pre-employment and random testing. Provide weekly safety updates, facilitate employee orientation, and ensure all EHS protocols are followed. Establish hospital facilities for injured employees and accompany them to treatment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or CHST certification, with some travel and standing required. Located in Cape Canaveral, FL, the position supports a fourth-generation family-owned construction firm known for its commitment to safety and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- Less than 3 years of experience in the construction safety field
- Some travel required
- Required to stand, walk, sit and climb stairs or ladders
- OSHA 30 hour preferred
- First Aid, CPR AED preferred
- Self-motivated
- Leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred
