HSE Site Lead

Job Summary
Champion and advocate for all HSE controls and standards on site, assessing hazard report submissions and producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports with KPI tracking. Lead risk assessment methodology and data analysis to identify trends, hotspots, and weaknesses, escalating issues as appropriate. Manage the site's compliance calendar, internal audit plan, and corrective action follow-ups while raising purchase orders against the HSE overhead budget. Represent the department at Tier meetings, forums, and working groups to ensure accurate, data-driven management review reporting. This role supports the Group HSE Manager and Chessington T4 Team to deliver NESI's HSE vision and improve safety culture within the food manufacturing environment. Full training, coaching, and mentoring are provided, with a minimum IOSH qualification required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Experience/strong desire of working in an entry/mid-level health & safety role
- Administrative experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of tools
- Minimum IOSH Occupational Health & Safety Qualification working to NEBOSH Certificate
- Role model excellent safety behaviours without exception
- Able to perform tasks accurately and productively to sometimes tight deadlines
- The ability to promote and develop HSE systems and culture
- Must be able to work as a team and independently
