Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the project HSE Program by driving excellence through Project Management visibility and engaging the Project Leadership Team in developing and endorsing HSE systems, programs, and procedures. Guide, direct, train, and motivate project team members to comply with ADNOC HSE Safety Policy, procedures, rules, and accepted safe working practices. Establish the Safety Steering Team (SST) meeting schedule and maintain regular communication with ADNOC Corporate HSE, shareholder counterparts, and major contracting companies. Implement HSE best practices, develop the project-specific Risk Assessment Management System, ensure HSE requirements are included in Invitation to Tender packages, and conduct kick-off meetings with major contractors. Establish and renew annual HSE Key Performance Indicators with Senior Project Management endorsement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience guiding, directing, training, and motivating project team members to take responsibility for personal safety
- Knowledge of ADNOC HSE Safety Policy, procedures, rules, and accepted safe working practices
- Knowledge of applicable Abu Dhabi HSE related regulations
- Ability to establish and conduct regular project Safety Steering Team (SST) meetings with participation from Senior Project Management and major contracting companies
- Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with ADNOC Corporate HSE, counterparts in shareholder companies, and major project contract companies
- Ability to implement HSE best practices as applicable from ADNOC, project shareholder companies, and the Oil & Gas Industry
- Ability to recommend HSE staff resources necessary to successfully achieve HSE program objectives
- Ability to provide functional guidance to HSE staff working under different Project Management Teams
- Experience developing and implementing project specific Risk Assessment Management System (RAMS)
- Experience ensuring project HSE requirements are included in Invitation to Tender (lTT) packages and participating in tender evaluations
- Ability to review HSE related plans from contract companies and provide comments to endorse as appropriate
- Experience ensuring project HSE kick-off meetings are conducted with project major contractors upon or in advance of site mobilization
- Experience establishing HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and renewing annually with Senior Project Management endorsement
