Job Summary
Oversee full implementation of corporate safety and environmental standards to ensure OSHA, EPA, and governmental regulatory compliance at the Graham plant. Lead regular audits and assessments of HSE processes, manage incident investigations with cause analysis, and develop the annual Site Safety Improvement Plan. Create and facilitate employee engagement to establish targets, while developing a thorough training program for all manufacturing staff. Interface with regulatory bodies to acquire permits, submit reports, and meet site conditions, and maintain a documented Emergency Action Plan with regular testing. Work closely with Management, Quality, Production, and Lab personnel to monitor key safety aspects and utilize Lean tools for continuous improvement. Manage Vesuvius safety standards and lead HSE teams prepared for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Primary HSE contact for the Graham plant
- Oversee full implementation of corporate safety and environmental standards
- Ensure OSHA, EPA and governmental regulatory compliance
- Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA and State/Local regulators)
- Acquire required regulatory permits
- Submit reports to regulatory agencies
- Meet site permit conditions (e.g. recordkeeping, air, storm water, waste, etc.)
- Establish targets and objectives for the year
- Develop and implement a thorough training program for all manufacturing employees
- Monitor key safety and environmental aspects
- Develop annual Site Safety Improvement Plan
- Utilize Lean tools in process improvement
- Lead regular audits and assessments
- Maintain a well-organized and documented Emergency Action Plan
- Conduct tests of the Emergency Action Plan
- Lead all HSE incident investigation process
- Perform cause analysis
- Identify corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance of Vesuvius safety standards
- Collect data to submit required internal HSE reports in a timely manner
