Job Summary
HSE Manager for PCL Construction, Inc. in San Diego, CA. Leads development and implementation of project HSE and regulatory requirements; designs and delivers project-specific HSE training; conducts and oversees HSE inspections and audits; ensures proper PPE training and usage; develops emergency response and crisis communication plans; participates in incident investigations; coaches and mentors project teams on HSE practices; requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related discipline with 9 years of experience and 4 years in a supervisory role; CRSP/ASP certifications preferred. Salary range shown reflects annual compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or a related discipline
- CRSP certification preferred (CDN)
- ASP certificate preferred (US)
- 9 years of experience in a related industry, with direct experience in HSE
- 4 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and terminology
- Strong ability to coach and mentor others
- Expert knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation related to projects/area
- Ability to coach and mentor others on HSE processes
- Strong communication and presentation skills on HSE topics to senior managers and projects
