Job Summary
Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans while coordinating subcontractor protocols and conducting quarterly comprehensive on-site audits. Inspect project sites for regulatory compliance, conduct accident investigations, and manage incident reporting and medical evaluations. Provide training on EHS requirements, administer the SPAT process, and deliver weekly EHS updates to leadership. This role supports the implementation of health, safety, and environmental processes for a fourth-generation family-owned construction firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field
- Excellent communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
- Knowledge of regulations and standards
- Hazard recognition skills
- Injury management skills
- Some travel required
- Ability to stand
