Job Summary
Conduct daily observations and interventions to assure safe work practices are followed, providing feedback to departments and inspecting facilities to detect hazards. Formulate safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations while monitoring environmental objectives and pollutants. Lead investigations into injuries and incidents to determine root causes, compile accident reports for regulatory agencies, and coordinate with consultants on waste disposal and hazardous substances. Oversee the workers' compensation program, administer training programs to promote safety consciousness, and perform ISO-14001 environmental audits. Represent the organization in community safety groups and maintain safety files and records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience related to EHS compliance
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles & OSHA standards
- Must be able to build high performing teams
- Must be able to travel less than 25%
- Proficiency in English
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including daily use of HRIS, Microsoft Office, and digital reporting tools
- Must have a valid drivers' license
