Job Summary
HSE Engineer responsible for developing, implementing and managing the health, safety and environment management system on a major rail construction project; ensure the project safety plan meets the goal of zero incidents; coordinate HSE programs across multiple locations; conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, training, and incident reporting; advise senior site representatives and HS&E Manager; ensure compliance with GCC and international HSE regulations; facilitate safety inductions and HSSE campaigns; provide first aid support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in construction, engineering or related field
- Certification by NEBOSH or British Safety Council certificates/diploma
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Health and Safety on large scale construction projects
- Prior experience of working on construction projects in the GCC
- Thorough knowledge of GCC HSE regulations, welfare facilities requirements, enforcement procedures and reporting procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
