Job Summary
Coordinate implementation of the Project Safety Management Plan in Calgary on the Green Line project, providing day-to-day HSE guidance and mentorship to AtkinsRéalis personnel and subcontractors. Deliver orientations, HSE inductions, and trainings; lead toolbox talks on key risks (rail safety, electrical hazards, human-machine interface); develop and review JHAs and Safe Work Procedures; conduct internal site inspections and audits; investigate incidents and monitor HSE performance; ensure compliance with Alberta OHS and Transport Canada regulations; maintain records and support regulator/client audits. The role acts as SME for HSE across the portfolio and supports integration of HSE into work planning with effective stakeholder engagement and documentation management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ HSE experience on projects of similar scope and complexity
- High school diploma plus post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety (certificate, diploma, or degree)
- CRSP designation (preferred) or CSO certification (asset)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
