Job Summary
Conduct new worker and visitor site orientations and coordinate Joint Health & Safety Committee activities, including scheduling meetings and documenting minutes. Maintain safety boards, training records, certifications, and compliance logs while tracking, organizing, and filing inspections, permits, and safety documentation. Assist with regular site inspections, incident and near-miss documentation, and emergency response situations by maintaining emergency equipment. Monitor and report safety concerns or non-compliance to the HSE Coordinator or site supervision. Provide First Aid treatment when required and support administrative requirements related to WSIB claims.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a vehicle to travel between office and project sites when required
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or Certificate in Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a health & safety, administrative, or construction support role
- Working knowledge of Ontario Health & Safety legislation within the construction industry
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience using Microsoft 365 platforms such as SharePoint for document management and collaboration
- Comfortable working with digital safety platforms, mobile applications, and site-based reporting tools
- Strong organizational and document management skills with the ability to maintain accurate digital records and compliance documentation
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems, safety management platforms, and digital workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple administrative priorities
