Job Summary
Manage safe work and safeguard verification programs to prevent significant injuries and fatalities. Provide in-field coaching and training on Safe Work Practices, including Safe Work Permitting, Control of Hazardous Energy, and Job Safety Analysis development. Facilitate incident investigations and assist in managing workplace injury cases. Make recommendations for procedural improvements and develop local safety alerts. Build relationships with subsurface teams to ensure consistent application of safety standards across operations.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
- Strong leadership and verbal communication skills
- Prior incident investigation facilitator experience
- Understanding of Human Performance, Managing Safe Work standards (IHE, hot work, lifting/rigging, etc.), and workover/wells operations
- Minimum of 5-10 years direct field experience in oil and gas
- Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous workover or drilling rig experience is strongly preferred
