Job Summary
HSE Advisor with OCIP experience to lead the CHSEMP program on a Lebanon, IN site. Responsibilities include serving as Loss Control Representative for OCIP, overseeing claims support and contractor compliance, acting as liaison between client and contractors, supporting HSE planning, contractor onboarding, and program implementation, conducting incident investigations and Root Cause Analyses, performing contractor audits and field inspections, providing OSHA/IOSHA regulatory interpretation and safety compliance support, reviewing HSE work plans, JHAs, permits, and emergency action plans, coordinating with environmental SMEs to ensure compliance without directing contractor means/methods, monitoring contractor safety performance, and ensuring contractor qualification and onboarding compliance. Requirements include a degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field, 5+ years of experience, OCIP experience, program development and claims management experience, ability to interpret and apply relevant codes and regulations, familiarity with industrial hygiene and contractor HSE management, knowledge of lead/asbestos regulations and hazardous waste handling, experience in risk management and statistical methods, program development and technical writing, and proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office. Physical demands include moving long distances, stairs and ladders, prolonged stationary position, exposure to extreme weather, loud noises, and correct use of PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience with Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP)
- Experience with program development and claims management
- Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, regulations, and applicable regulatory documents
- Experience in industrial hygiene applications and contractor HSE Advisor management
- Knowledge of lead/asbestos regulations and hazardous waste handling
- Experience with risk management, statistical methods, and behavior-based contractor HSE concepts
- Program development and technical writing
- Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite
