Job Summary
Conduct daily site tours with site management to monitor project progress, safety compliance, and risk analyses. Prepare project-specific documents including HSE implementation and emergency plans while facilitating safety training sessions and toolbox meetings. Investigate accidents and log safety issues through the company platform, then follow up on necessary safety modifications to prevent recurrence. Facilitate QHSSE audits and inspections, addressing unsafe situations diplomatically with foremen, workers, and subcontractors. Adapt to changing schedules and varying project locations as part of the regional team supporting major civil infrastructure initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 certification as a safety advisor
- knowledge of safety procedures in the construction industry
- good knowledge of English and French
- communication and social skills
- ability to coach and guide
- ability to prioritize and plan effectively to meet deadlines
- strong character
- flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances on the sites
- ability to work and think along with site management while keeping a practical and critical eye
