Job Summary
Conduct daily site tours, wearing personal protective equipment, to observe work progress, verify safety agreement compliance, and address issues diplomatically with foremen and workers. Monitor project safety and implementation by performing risk analyses, safety inspections, and facilitating QHSSE audits. Prepare project-specific documents including HSE implementation and emergency plans, while organizing safety training sessions and toolbox meetings. Investigate accidents, log incidents through our platform, and follow up on safety modifications to prevent recurrence. Consult with site management to resolve difficulties and ensure projects run smoothly and safely across civil projects such as data center expansions and the Defence headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 certification as a safety advisor
- knowledge of safety procedures in the construction industry
- minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- good knowledge of English and French
- communication and social skills
- ability to coach and guide
- ability to prioritize and plan effectively to meet deadlines
- strong character
- flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances on the sites
- ability to work and think along with site management while keeping a practical and critical eye
- ability to say no to unsafe situations and investigate thoroughly
- ability to continue appropriately if there is some resistance
Desired Qualifications
