HS Special Education Teacher

HS Special Education Teacher responsible for maximizing learning for students with special needs by implementing district-approved curriculum, documenting progress, and addressing individual needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, participating in PPTs, developing and supporting IEPs and behavior plans, coordinating with outside agencies, liaising with families, maintaining accurate records, and supporting counseling and student growth. Requires knowledge of special education principles, differentiated instruction, data systems, and applicable federal/state laws; must hold state certification and possess a bachelor’s degree in education with a master’s degree in special education. Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. FLSA exempt.
