Job Summary
HS Social Studies Teacher (26-27 SY) at MacArthur HS in Irving ISD. Provide students with appropriate learning activities in core social studies subjects, plan and implement curriculum, use data to inform instruction, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula, supervise teacher aides/volunteers, utilize technology to enhance teaching, monitor student achievement through formative and summative assessments, and maintain professional conduct per district policies. This is an in-person, 187-day role requiring classroom management, communication with families, participation in professional development, and adherence to district/exam policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
- Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary
- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Instructional Strategies and related responsibilities as stated in the posting
- ESL Supplemental Certification preferred
Desired Qualifications
