Job Summary
Monitor student learning and progress on online curriculum while supporting learning through re-teaching and small group interventions. Differentiate instructional methodologies for individual needs, facilitate student behaviors, and coordinate online and blended learning. Actively monitor students during instructional time, review and score assignments, and provide individual assistance as necessary. Initiate conferences with students and parents, record attendance accurately, and manage student behavior using positive support strategies. Communicate progress to the campus coordinator and resolve parent/student issues in a timely manner. Compile reports, maintain confidentiality, and participate in professional development and ARD meetings.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to develop and implement strategies for individual learners
- Review and scoring of assignments needing teacher review
- Re-teaching assignments to individual students as necessary
- Reassignment of quizzes, assignments, or tests as necessary and in a timely manner
- Provision of individual assistance to students, as necessary
- Monitoring of students' adherence to daily schedule
- Initiation and participation in conferences with students and/or parents as necessary
- Accurate and timely recording of student attendance each period
- Support and implementation of classroom procedures adopted by campus
- Utilization of effective positive behavior support strategies in the classroom
- Implementation of classroom management system with positive attitude
- Following of the established discipline sequence
- Supervision of students during breaks
- Collaborative work with other members of campus and district staff
- Reporting and communication of student progress to campus coordinator and parents
- Resolution of parent/student issues and concerns in a timely manner
- Management of student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and handbook
- Assistance in monitoring students and creating a safe campus environment by reporting to duty assignments as assigned by principal
- Participation in all continuing professional development and relevant ARD meetings
- Compilation, maintenance, and submission of reports, records and other documents, as required
- Protection of confidentiality of students and their families
- Participation in performance improvement activities
- Support of the mission and vision of the campus and district
- Adherence to policies and procedures of the campus and district

- Knowledge of principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies pertaining to teaching and instructing student in the subject and grade level assigned
- Strong knowledge of developing curriculum and along with integrating technology into daily instruction
- Design, development, and implementation of subject area curriculum that is based on best practices
- Provision of effective and innovative learning experiences for students at a college preparatory level
- Provision of an attractive, inviting and stimulating learning environment and development of positive relationships with students
- Successful completion of student teaching at a recognized college or university or other applicable field/volunteer work
- Tech savviness
- Four-year BA degree from an accredited college/university
- Texas Teacher Certificate Math 7-12/8-12 or attending an approved alternative certification plan in the areas with a working knowledge
- Additional certification or ability to receive certification in English as a second language (ESL)
- Level of general physical/emotional health which permits effective performance of duties
- Ability to tolerate high levels of stress
- High level of mental alertness
- Ability to lift and carry 1 - 25 pounds
