Job Summary
Assistant positions across multiple HS marching band roles (Colorguard Instructor, Brass/Woodwind Technician, Front Ensemble Technician, Battery Percussion Technician) within a high school marching band program. Responsibilities include teaching technique, choreography, and performance skills during rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00–9:00 PM, attending Friday night football games, and supporting the team at Saturday competitions. Candidates should be experienced in competitive marching arts, able to foster student growth, teamwork, and a positive, disciplined rehearsal environment. Knowledge of music fundamentals, marching technique, ensemble development, and equipment work is preferred; experience writing choreography and coordinating keyboard/auxiliary percussion is advantageous. The program emphasizes competitive excellence and student development throughout the season.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing in a competitive colorguard setting
- Experience teaching technique, choreography, and equipment work
- Experience assisting rehearsals and ensemble development in a marching band context
- Availability for rehearsals Tue/Thu 6:00–9:00 PM, Friday football games, and Saturday competitions
- Interest in student growth, teamwork, and competitive excellence
- Experience with Brass/Woodwind or Front Ensemble or Battery Percussion roles is beneficial
