Job Summary
Provide academic advisement, monitor student progress, and facilitate community meetings to support college readiness. Develop and teach rigorous, Common Core-aligned lessons while assisting with Regents exam preparation and hands-on science projects. Supervise students in hallways and all spaces, uphold behavioral expectations, and maintain accurate records for staff and administrators. Create annual goals for IEP students, implement modifications, and participate in yearly conferences. Assist with testing, breakfast/lunch duties, and other assigned operational tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- New York State Certified
- Bachelor's
- Teaching: 1 year
- New York State Teacher Certification
- Live in the New York City area
- In person work location
Desired Qualifications
- Solid knowledge and understanding of math content
- Strong organizational skills
- Tech-savvy
- Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google docs/drive
- Effective verbal, writing and listening skills
- Spanish (preferred)
