Job Summary
Facilitate quality, individualized early childhood education by implementing developmentally appropriate practices in an inclusive environment. Plan and implement a variety of activities with Education/Disabilities Specialists to enhance children's growth, promote social competence, and ensure parental involvement. Serve families with no or limited English proficiency while providing leadership and stability for program continuity. Move or lift children up to age five and maintain program continuity under the Center Manager's supervision. Requires an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education or closely related field of study related to the job
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
- Current Georgia PDS Profile with credentials and career level listed
Desired Qualifications
- Must be familiar with ethnic background and culture of families in the program and be able to serve and effectively communicate, to the extent feasible, with children and families with no or limited English proficiency
- Must possess training, experiences, and knowledge that include theories, and principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support
- Must possess excellent communications skills
- Must possess the ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity
- Must possess the ability to move/lift children up to age five (5)
