Job Summary
Lead the high school girls golf program by developing practice schedules, instructing players on rules and techniques, and supervising athletes during all activities. Manage assistant coaches, establish team behavior standards, and monitor academic eligibility while maintaining equipment inventories and submitting roster updates. Communicate with parents, media, and booster clubs to promote the sport, and model sportsmanlike conduct throughout the season. Ensure compliance with state and district regulations while attending staff development meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Coaching and/or leadership experience
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to carry
- Must attend work on a prompt and regular basis
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Must maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must successfully pass a child and adult abuse registry check
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, coaching, or related field
- Knowledge of overall operations of an athletic program
- First Aid and CPR
- Knowledge of conference rules and regulations
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
