Instruct athletes in fundamental wrestling skills, strategy, and physical training while modeling character development traits like self-discipline, respect, and fairness. Implement athletic policies, state, and league regulations consistently, and interpret rules for staff and participants. Mentor each student athlete regarding grades, conduct, and trustworthiness, while providing guidance and safety safeguards during all practices, games, and travel. Direct student managers and assistants, manage equipment inventory and storage, and maintain locker room cleanliness and security. Complete injury paperwork within 24 hours, maintain confidentiality for all records, and promote the sport through recruiting, media relations, and community outreach. Plan offseason activities and fundraising, ensuring good public relations with parents, officials, and fans.
